Tango Dancing at the Knoxville Argentine Tango Society

The Knoxville Argentine Tango Society is a non profit organization of people eager to learn and practice the Tango. Each Sunday, except the last Sunday of the month, everyone is invited to dance at the Flynn Center. If you do not know how to dance the Argentine Tango, lessons are provided on Sunday an hour before practice. The last Sunday of the month is reserved for a Milonga. (KATS) Those who attend may dress up, dance, and mingle.

(Knox News) Bill and Connie Healy run KATS, where they teach the tango and invite other instructors from all over the world to conduct workshops and demonstrations. Continue checking the KATS website for the next guest workshop. Regular dance lessons are $5 per lesson plus a $5 floor fee. Members only pay $5 to dance and the lessons or instructions are free. If you are serious about learning the tango, it might benefit you to pay the $20 per year membership fee. For more information about Knoxville’s tango community, visit the KATS website.
